Accelerating Momentum: AOI's Atlanta Expansion
It has been a transformative year for AOI’s CATV division. The momentum we’ve seen throughout 2025 has been energizing for our teams, our customers, and everyone committed to advancing broadband infrastructure. That’s why I’m especially excited to share an update that signifies more than just growth—it lays the groundwork for the future: the expansion of our Atlanta location.
Setting the foundation: A record year for CATV
This past quarter was one of the most significant in the history of our CATV segment. We closed Q3 with $70.6 million in revenue, a performance that not only tripled our results from a year ago but also grew an additional 26% over an already-strong Q2. It’s the kind of progress that tells a story—not just of market demand, but of the trust our customers place in AOI’s technology and in the people who build it.
Much of this momentum has been driven by the rapid adoption of our 1.8 GHz amplifier products. Charter, in particular, was a meaningful partnership to get off the ground to support their network upgrades and next generation broadband services. Equally exciting is the diversity of interest we’re seeing across our MSO customers, embracing not only our amplifier platforms but also our cloud- based QuantumLinkTM solution, which is proving to be a differentiator in remote system management, visibility, and operational efficiency.
Growing in Atlanta
The energy of this moment makes our Atlanta expansion even more meaningful. Our new 36,000-square-foot facility, which triples our office space, is another milestone marking the scale of innovation we’re building toward.
Focused on engineering excellence, the design is intentionally crafted to support collaboration and hands-on development. We are doubling our employee base in Atlanta, hiring more than 50 full and part-time people in 2025 to early 2026 to fill a variety of roles including software and hardware engineers. Five dedicated engineering labs will each serve a critical purpose for software integration, electronic hardware, and mechanical design for innovative solutions to take shape. The site will also feature multiple temperature chambers, including a full walk-in chamber, expanding beyond our Houston footprint to evaluate full amplifier cascades—including GainMaker and Motorola based systems—under the exact conditions our customers experience in the field. This new space enables us to scale rapidly and reinforces Atlanta as a strategic engineering hub for AOI.
Looking toward 2026
Across the MSO landscape, we are excited to be working with CableLabs and customers on two industry initiatives—3 GHz evolution and NRoC (Next-Gen Radio over Coax)—are focused on how networks scale in the years ahead. The transition toward 3 GHz architectures promises to unlock significantly more downstream capacity and extend the life of HFC networks, making room for faster broadband speeds and greater service efficiency. Additionally, NRoC aims to expand network capacity via DOCSIS and 5G technology and converge fixed and wireless networks. This not only has significant operational efficiencies; it will also help provide a seamless customer experience at advanced speeds. Together, these two paths represent the next major leap for operators and technology providers alike.
Across the industry, operators are preparing for the next stage of HFC evolution, and AOI is positioning itself at the center of that transformation. Our expanded Atlanta office is now poised to support our accelerating growth, engineering innovation, and deepen partnerships across the cable industry. As strong as 2025 has been, we’re even more excited about what comes next.
