Chih Hsiang (Thompson) Lin, Ph.D.
Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer; Chairman of the Board
Dr. Thompson Lin founded AOI in February 1997 and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since its inception. He currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board.
Dr. Lin has remained active in academic and advisory roles on the University of Missouri’s Chancellor’s Advisory Group and as Chair of the University’s Industrial Advisory Board for the College of Engineering. He also served as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Associate Professor at the University of Houston.
He earned a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri–Columbia.
